Biography

Museeduson is an initiative of Derk-Jan Gerritsen. He studied graphic design at The Royal Academy of The Hague.

He began as a freelance graphic desiger in 1994 for cultural and commercial institutes. From that time on he has also been making his kinetic (sound)sculptures.
In 2000 he moved to the Nievre in France, gave up the computer and devoted to rebuilding the abandoned farm. There he founded his (untill then virtual) museum in one of the barns. More 3-dimensional objects have been created since. He often combines these sculptures and his graphic design skills in his Letterings.
There is also an 'association' called MUSEEDUSON.

Association

L'association MUSEEDUSON was founded two years ago.
Our goal is to promote exchanges between all the different artistic disciplines.
The association intervened in eighteen villages. Social centers visited the museum and took part in workshops. Collaboration with Metalovoice. Participation in various local events: 'Les Petites Rêveries' festival, 'Camion d'Alimentation Générale Culturelle' and 'La Comice Agricole'. And every year we're having our 'Singer Street Race'!
We can put you on our mailing list if you want to know what we are doing or you can check this page regularly.

The Museum

Is open the first sunday of every month (except for those harsh winterdays..). We can organise your visit as a group. Please give us a call or send us an email in advance. Entrance is free. You can support us financially or in many different ways.
